Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy

Project Oche tournaments are decided by darts performance. This policy sets out the conduct we expect, what we treat as cheating, how we investigate and the sanctions we apply.

It forms part of the Terms & Conditions and applies to every player, every tournament and every prize.

• You must play personally, on your own account. Only one person may use an account.
• Account sharing, lending or selling is prohibited, including letting a stronger player throw on your behalf.
• Impersonating another player, an administrator or a Project Oche representative is prohibited.
• Operating multiple accounts to enter the same tournament, to enter a Division below your ability, to evade a sanction or to distort results is prohibited.

• Do not manipulate scores, submitted results or match records.
• Do not manipulate, misconfigure or tamper with your board, detection hardware or scoring software to produce inaccurate scoring.
• Do not throw from a shortened distance, use a non-regulation setup, or change your setup mid-match to gain an advantage.
• Where camera-, sensor- or automated-scoring equipment is used, do not obstruct, mask or interfere with detection.
• Do not fabricate, edit or selectively present scoring evidence submitted to administrators.
• Do not exploit a technical bug in the Platform or in scoring equipment. If you find one, report it.

If you become aware of a material scoring error in a match you are involved in — whether it favours you or your opponent — you must report it promptly through the tournament page or by email.

• No collusion between players, including agreed outcomes, deliberate underperformance or coordinated entries.
• No result fixing, and no arrangement that shares prizes in a way that depends on a pre-agreed outcome.
• No deliberate obstruction of an opponent's ability to play, including intentional disconnection or stalling.
• No knowingly false or vexatious disputes.
• No abuse, harassment or threats towards players, administrators or staff.

We may open an investigation where a dispute is raised, where a check flags an anomaly, or where a result is inconsistent with a player's recorded performance history.

Evidence we may review includes match and scoring records, tournament entry and check-in data, account and registration records, security and audit logs, and any material you or another player submits.

We may apply a temporary hold while an investigation is open. A hold can pause a payout, restrict registration for further tournaments or suspend an account. A hold is a precaution, not a finding.

We aim to complete investigations promptly and will tell you the outcome and the reason for it.

Sanctions are proportionate to the seriousness of the conduct, the evidence available and any previous findings. They may include:

• a warning or a correction to a recorded result;
• forfeit of a match or disqualification from a tournament;
• withholding or forfeiting a prize connected to the conduct;
• temporary suspension of the account or of paid participation;
• a permanent ban in serious or repeated cases, such as deliberate score manipulation, organised collusion or fraud.

Where a prize is withheld pending an investigation and the investigation clears you, the prize returns to the normal payout process.

Refunds following disqualification for cheating, fraud, collusion or serious rule violation are ordinarily not given, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you disagree with a fair-play decision, you can ask us to review it by emailing info@projectoche.com within 14 days of being told the outcome. Explain what you think is wrong and include any evidence that was not considered.

Reviews are handled by an administrator who did not take the original decision where that is practical. The Complaints & Disputes Policy describes the process in more detail.
