1.Scope
These Tournament Rules form part of the Terms & Conditions and apply to every tournament organised through the Platform.
Individual tournaments may add specific conditions. Where a tournament page states a configuration that differs from a default in these rules, the tournament page applies to that tournament.
2.Eligibility and divisions
You must be at least 18 years old, hold an account in good standing and play personally on your own account.
Every player has one Verified Average, set by a Project Oche administrator. A tournament belongs to a Division with a minimum and maximum average, and you can enter only where your Verified Average falls inside that range.
Your Verified Average can be adjusted by an administrator as more verified results are recorded.
Deliberately under-reporting your ability to enter a lower Division may result in disqualification, forfeit of prizes and account suspension.
3.Registration, waitlist and pricing
Registration is confirmed once the Total Registration Price for the tournament has been confirmed and your entry shows as registered.
The Total Registration Price is the Tournament Entry Amount plus the Platform Fee. The Platform Fee is charged on top of the Tournament Entry Amount and is never deducted from it.
Tournament Entry Amounts fund the published prize structure. The Platform Fee is a separate charge for operating the Platform.
When a tournament is full, further registrations join the waitlist in order. A waitlist place is not a guaranteed entry. When a registered player withdraws or misses check-in, an administrator promotes waitlisted players in order.
Cancellation and refunds follow the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy: more than 24 hours before the scheduled start you may cancel for a full refund of the Total Registration Price, including the Platform Fee.
4.Check-in and no-shows
A check-in window opens before the scheduled start. You must check in inside that window to keep your place.
Players who do not check in may be marked as no-shows, and their place can be offered to the next waitlisted player.
A checked-in player must be ready to play at the scheduled match time. Where a tournament publishes a specific grace period, that period applies. Where no grace period is published, an administrator must give the player a reasonable opportunity to appear before recording a no-show or forfeit.
5.Match play
Matches are 501, straight start, double finish, unless the tournament page states otherwise.
Your board must be set up to regulation height and throwing distance and remain unchanged during play.
Any interference, third-party throwing, or manipulation of the scoring setup is treated as cheating under the Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy.
6.Scoring evidence
Project Oche is designed to support automated darts scoring systems. Scolia integration is planned but is not currently connected to the Project Oche platform, and Project Oche does not receive automated scoring events. Until an integration is activated for a tournament, scoring evidence and results are recorded or reviewed through the tournament administration process. Scolia is operated by an unrelated third party; naming it does not imply partnership or endorsement.
Where camera-, sensor- or automated-scoring equipment is used, its records may be submitted and considered as evidence. Administrators determine the recorded result on the evidence available for the tournament concerned.
7.Provisional Results, Review Period and Final Results
Results follow one lifecycle:
- The tournament completes and Provisional Results are published.
- A 48-hour Review Period begins at the moment the Provisional Results are published.
- Tournament and scoring disputes affecting those results must normally be filed within 48 hours after the Provisional Results are published.
- Administrators review disputes filed in time and any evidence submitted.
- After the Review Period expires and the relevant disputes are resolved, an administrator finalises the results.
- The Final Result stands, and prizes recorded against it can become eligible for payout processing.
Finalisation is carried out by an administrator. The Platform does not currently finalise results automatically when the Review Period expires.
8.Disputes
Tournament and scoring disputes must normally be raised from the tournament page within 48 hours after the Provisional Results are published.
Provide as much detail as possible: the match, the round, the approximate time and any scoring records or evidence you already hold.
Administrators review timely disputes and any evidence submitted, and then confirm, correct or reject the disputed result. Decisions are recorded in the platform audit log. The Complaints & Disputes Policy sets out how to ask for a decision to be reviewed.
9.Cancellation, changes and abandonment
If Project Oche cancels a tournament, the Total Registration Price is refunded in full.
If Project Oche materially changes the date or scheduled start time, you may accept the change or request a full refund of the Total Registration Price.
If a tournament cannot be completed fairly after it has started, Project Oche will determine an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. This may include continuation at a later time, rescheduling, a rematch, a replacement entry, a full or partial refund, or prize allocation only where a valid final ranking can be established objectively and fairly from completed play. Prize money is not automatically awarded from an incomplete bracket.
10.Prizes
Prize allocations are published on each tournament page before registration closes and are locked once registration opens.
Prizes are recorded against the Final Result. Prize records and payout status appear in your account; Project Oche does not hold prize money on your behalf.
Prizes may be withheld while a dispute or fair-play investigation is open. The Prize & Payout Policy sets out the payout statuses and what applies once real-money payouts are enabled.
