Terms & Conditions

These Terms apply between you and Project Oche, registered in the Dutch Trade Register under Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 92965180, VAT number NL866232424B01, with its registered address at Populierenlaan 14, 2821 BB Stolwijk, The Netherlands.

In these Terms, "Project Oche", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Project Oche service. "You" and "the player" mean the person who creates an account or registers for a tournament. You can reach us at info@projectoche.com.

These Terms apply to your use of the Project Oche website, your account and any tournament you register for. They form the primary agreement between you and us.

The following documents form part of these Terms and apply alongside them: the Tournament Rules, the Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy, the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy, the Prize & Payout Policy, the Account & Acceptable Use Policy and the Complaints & Disputes Policy.

Where a specific tournament page clearly states a supported configuration that differs from a general default (for example a different match format or check-in window), the tournament page applies to that tournament.

If a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer right that applies to you, that mandatory right prevails and the rest of these Terms continue to apply.

• Platform — the Project Oche website, accounts and tournament services.
• Tournament — a darts competition organised through the Platform, with a published configuration including schedule, format, capacity and prize structure.
• Tournament Entry Amount — the amount associated with participation in a specific tournament.
• Platform Fee — the fee charged by Project Oche for providing, operating and facilitating the Platform and the tournament service. It is charged in addition to the Tournament Entry Amount and is never deducted from it.
• Total Registration Price — the Tournament Entry Amount plus the Platform Fee. This is the amount you pay at registration, and it is the price shown as the cost of joining a tournament.
• Division — a skill band defined by a minimum and maximum three-dart average, used to group players of comparable ability.
• Verified Average — the three-dart average recorded on your account by a Project Oche administrator and used for eligibility.
• Provisional Results — the results published when a tournament completes, before the Review Period has expired.
• Review Period — the 48-hour period that begins when the Provisional Results are published.
• Final Result — the result an administrator finalises after the Review Period has expired and any timely dispute affecting it has been resolved.

Project Oche tournaments are designed as skill-based darts competitions in which outcomes are determined by player performance under the applicable Tournament Rules.

Prize allocation follows the prize structure published on the tournament page and objective darts performance. We do not operate random prize draws, lotteries, betting markets or wagering between players, and the Platform is not designed or intended as a gambling service.

We do not claim to hold a licence, authorisation or approval from any gaming or financial regulator, and nothing on the Platform should be read as such a claim.

Real-money payment processing is not yet enabled. Registrations in the current build are simulated for testing and no money is taken. When real-money payments are enabled, they will be processed through a regulated payment service provider; the applicable provider and any relevant privacy information will be published before the first real-money tournament.

Real-money payouts are not yet enabled and Project Oche does not currently collect payout details or identity documentation. The prize and payout process described here applies once real-money tournaments and a production payout provider are enabled. Before the first real-money tournament, Project Oche will publish the applicable payout method, verification requirements and expected processing times.

Project Oche is designed to support automated darts scoring systems. Scolia integration is planned but is not currently connected to the Project Oche platform, and Project Oche does not receive automated scoring events. Until an integration is activated for a tournament, scoring evidence and results are recorded or reviewed through the tournament administration process. Scolia is operated by an unrelated third party; naming it does not imply partnership or endorsement.

Project Oche does not operate a wallet, stored balance, vault or player funds account. Prize records and payout status shown in your account are entitlement and status records, not money held on your behalf.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or take part in a tournament. We may ask you to confirm or evidence your age at any time, and may suspend or close accounts where the age requirement is not met.

You must register with accurate information, keep your details up to date, keep your credentials confidential and use only one account unless we agree otherwise in writing. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Accounts are personal. You may not share, sell, transfer or allow another person to play on your account. Further detail is set out in the Account & Acceptable Use Policy.

Project Oche intends to launch real-money tournaments initially in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, subject to legal, regulatory and payment-provider approval. The Platform does not currently apply automated geographic restriction, and Project Oche may restrict or disable paid features by country or region where required for legal, regulatory, payment-provider or operational reasons.

It remains your responsibility to ensure that taking part is lawful where you are located.

We may restrict registration, paid participation, prizes or payouts for players in a particular country or region, including at short notice. Where we do so after you have paid for a tournament you can no longer take part in, you will receive a full refund of the Total Registration Price for that registration.

Each tournament belongs to a Division with a minimum and maximum three-dart average. You can register for a tournament only if your Verified Average falls within that range and your account is in good standing.

You may declare an average when you set up your profile. A declared average is not sufficient on its own: an administrator sets and can adjust your Verified Average as evidence and results accumulate.

We may require verification of your identity, age, eligibility or playing setup before registration or at any point where we have a reasonable concern. Deliberately misstating your ability to enter a lower Division is a serious rule violation.

Identity, age and payout verification may be required before a real-money prize can be released once real-money payouts are enabled.

Registration is complete when the Total Registration Price has been confirmed and the Platform shows your entry as registered. Places are limited to the published tournament capacity.

If a tournament is full, you may join the waitlist. A waitlist entry is not a guaranteed place. If a place opens, waitlisted players are promoted in order by an administrator. If your waitlist entry is never promoted, you will not ultimately be charged for that place, and any amount already captured will be refunded in full.

Each tournament has a check-in window shown on its page. You must check in inside that window to keep your place. Players who do not check in may be marked as no-shows and their place may be offered to a waitlisted player.

Registration involves two separate amounts. The Tournament Entry Amount relates to participation in the tournament. The Platform Fee is our charge for providing and operating the service. The Platform Fee is added on top of the Tournament Entry Amount and is never taken out of it.

Total Registration Price = Tournament Entry Amount + Platform Fee. Worked example: a Tournament Entry Amount of €10.00 plus a Platform Fee of €1.50 gives a Total Registration Price of €11.50.

The Total Registration Price is the price we present as the cost of joining a paid tournament, and it is shown wherever the cost of joining is displayed. The breakdown into Tournament Entry Amount and Platform Fee is shown alongside it. There are no additional mandatory charges added later in the flow.

Once a tournament is published and open for registration, its Tournament Entry Amount, Platform Fee basis and published prize structure are locked. We will not change the economics of a tournament for players who have already registered.

Real-money payment processing is not yet enabled. Registrations in the current build are simulated for testing and no money is taken. The Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out the full position. In summary:

• More than 24 hours before the scheduled tournament start — you may cancel your registration and receive a full refund of the Total Registration Price, including the Platform Fee.
• Less than 24 hours before the scheduled start — ordinarily no voluntary refund is given.
• Promoted from the waitlist less than 24 hours before the start — if you decline the place before the tournament begins, you receive a full refund of the Total Registration Price.
• Project Oche cancels the tournament — you receive a full refund of the Total Registration Price.
• Project Oche materially changes the date or scheduled start time — you may accept the change or request a full refund of the Total Registration Price.
• No-show — ordinarily no refund is given.
• Voluntarily abandoning a tournament after it has started — ordinarily no refund is given.
• Disqualification for cheating, fraud, collusion or serious rule violation — ordinarily no refund is given, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If a tournament cannot be completed fairly after it has started, Project Oche will determine an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. This may include continuation at a later time, rescheduling, a rematch, a replacement entry, a full or partial refund, or prize allocation only where a valid final ranking can be established objectively and fairly from completed play. Prize money is not automatically awarded from an incomplete bracket.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits a mandatory consumer right that applies to you under the law of your country of residence in the EU/EEA.

Services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period are treated differently from ordinary online purchases under EU consumer rules. How any statutory withdrawal right applies to fixed-date tournament services is being confirmed with legal advisers before real-money launch, and this section will be finalised at that point. Until then, we make no statement that a statutory withdrawal right is excluded.

You must play personally, on equipment set up to regulation throwing distance and board height, and you must keep that setup unchanged during play.

You must not manipulate scores, hardware, detection equipment or the Platform, collude with other players, fix results, submit knowingly false disputes, or exploit technical faults. The Fair Play & Anti-Cheating Policy applies in full.

If you become aware of a material scoring error affecting a match you are involved in, you must report it promptly.

Results follow one lifecycle:

• The tournament completes and Provisional Results are published.
• A 48-hour Review Period begins at the moment the Provisional Results are published.
• Tournament and scoring disputes affecting those results must normally be filed within 48 hours after the Provisional Results are published.
• Administrators review disputes filed in time and any evidence submitted.
• After the Review Period expires and the relevant disputes are resolved, an administrator finalises the results.
• The Final Result stands, and prizes recorded against it can become eligible for payout processing.

Administrators may correct results where there is clear evidence of a scoring or recording error.

Prizes are described in the prize structure published on each tournament page before registration closes. Prizes may relate to placement, highest checkout, most 180s or other objectively defined darts achievements.

Prizes are recorded against the Final Result. Prize release may require verification of the result, your identity, your eligibility and fair-play compliance.

You remain responsible for any personal tax obligations that apply to you, except where we are legally required to withhold, report or remit an amount.

Tournament, scoring, account, payment and payout issues can be raised through the Platform or by email. Tournament and scoring disputes must normally be filed within 48 hours after the Provisional Results are published. The Complaints & Disputes Policy explains the categories, the evidence we need and how decisions are communicated.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account, remove an entry, withhold a prize pending investigation, disqualify a player or issue a permanent ban where there is a serious or repeated breach of these Terms or the associated policies, or where required for legal, regulatory or security reasons.

Sanctions are applied proportionately to the seriousness of the conduct and the available evidence. We will tell you what has been decided and, where appropriate, how to challenge it.

You may close your account at any time. Closing your account does not remove records we must keep for legal, accounting, security or dispute-handling purposes.

The Platform, its software, design, wordmarks and content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the service normally.

Third-party names, including the names of scoring-hardware providers, remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only.

We work to keep the Platform available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and connectivity problems can interrupt the service.

Where a material technical failure on our side makes fair completion of a tournament impossible, we may offer an appropriate remedy such as rescheduling, a rematch, a replacement entry or a refund, depending on the circumstances.

We are liable for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our fault, and for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Otherwise, our liability in connection with a tournament is limited to what is reasonably foreseeable and, for direct financial loss, to the Total Registration Price you paid for the affected tournament plus any prize properly due to you under the published prize structure.

We are not responsible for your internet connection, your board or scoring equipment, third-party services you choose to use, or for loss that arises because you gave us incorrect account information.

Nothing in this section limits your mandatory rights as a consumer.

We are not in breach of these Terms where performance is prevented or delayed by an event outside our reasonable control, such as a major infrastructure outage, a network failure, an act of government or a natural event. Where such an event prevents a tournament from taking place, refunds are handled under the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

We may update these Terms and the associated policies. Each document shows a version number, an effective date and a last-updated date, and each published version is stored as an immutable release.

Where a change is material, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the new version before you register for further tournaments. Your earlier acceptance records are preserved and continue to point at the exact version you accepted. A tournament you have already registered for continues to be governed by the version you accepted at the time.

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU/EEA country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where the applicable rules give you that right.
